Green Beans Labyrinth

It’s pretty exciting when you see yourself on TV. My marching band (led by yours truly) was actually on television— I’m thinking it was our first time. We take part in this Band Festival at Montclair State University every year, and MSG Varsity finally decided to film it and air it— TODAY:)

It was REALLY COOL for me because I was the last video snippet at the end of the Intro right before it started. I was doing what can be called a “cut-off” at the end of a song. I was pretty fresh, I must say~ haha. Then they played that Intro at the very end, and I was the last person on the screen when it ended:D It was cool.

I was a little annoyed that the full shows of each band were not shown… except for Clifton’s. Yes, they are extremely fantastic, and I’m not pointing fingers at them at all. I’m just a little disappointed with MSG Varsity for not being fair. It took up the whole end of the show. They didn’t even show the “America the Beautiful” finale where all of the bands are on the field and a single band director is on the main podium conducting all the bands. If I were that director, I’d feel pretty unimportant after watching that segment of MSG Varsity. That is a huge honor to be up there, and they did not show it… Oh well.

This was my 6th and final year performing at Montclair, and I think I spent it well. I was interviewed, we had an awesome wave going across the bands, and I spent the night with my second family<3 I am going to miss this oh so much. I feel like crying now.

I am so thankful for these 6 years of ups and downs… most importantly the getting-back-ups. These… these were my glory years.
